Since 1766, there has been an inn at the Weizberg right next to the Baroque basilica, and since 1911 it has borne the name of the Ederer family. Much has changed since then, but one thing has remained the same: the kitchen is the heart of the house—where high-quality regional products are refined into fine dishes.
Honest enjoyment in tune with the times: this philosophy is shared by Ederer with its local suppliers. There is no shortage of outstanding food in Eastern Styria, from meat and fish to fruit and vegetables. Our menu reflects this diversity.
The well-kept yet familiar atmosphere in the house and garden makes the culinary experience complete.
For several years now, a well-marked, 24-kilometer-long scenic nature trail—the Papst-Franziskus-Pilgerweg—has connected the basilica in Graz-Mariatrost with the basilica at the Weizberg. Once pilgrims reach their destination at the Weizberg basilica, we are happy to welcome them to our house for refreshments. In addition to our à la carte dishes, we also offer a “pilgrim’s menu.”
